About The Role

Overview Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is currently recruiting Dental Assistants to support the Orlando VA Healthcare System primarily working at the Orlanda VA Medical Center located at 13800 Veterans Way Orlando, FL 32827. In addition to the primary duty location, this role includes providing services at surrounding Community‑Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs) to support coverage needs. Responsibilities Prepare operatories and surgical suites Assist with routine and specialty dental procedures Pass instruments safely and efficiently Retract tissue and maintain a clear operative field Prepare impression materials and medicaments Assist with: Oral surgery Endodontics Periodontal procedures Prosthodontics Implant procedures Take diagnostic-quality dental radiographs Utilize radiation safety techniques Minimize retakes Follow infection control protocols Operatory setup and breakdown Instrument sterilization Reusable medical equipment documentation and maintenance Schedule appointments Fill openings caused by cancellations Chart treatment plans and findings Perform clerical duties assigned by Dental Service leadership Monitor patient condition during treatment Monitor BP, pulse, pulse oximetry, and EKG during sedation procedures Assist with patient identification and time outs Provide patient instructions and education Demonstrate professionalism and courtesy Assist patients and coworkers Provide service recovery when needed Qualifications Completion of a one (1) year Dental Assistant program accredited by CODA Minimum one (1) year experience as a Dental Assistant Radiology certification or completion of required safety courses. Current BLS and/or CPR certification Strong communication, Microsoft 365 skills. Experience with electronic health records. Valid U.S. driver’s license. All candidates must be able to: Sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist Lift up to 20 lbs Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance Push/pull with 30 lbs of force All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.
