Responsibilities may include: Assisting clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) Providing personal care, bathing, grooming, and hygiene assistance Assisting with mobility and transfers as appropriate Providing medication reminders as directed Preparing meals and assisting with light housekeeping Providing companionship and emotional support Observing and reporting changes in a client's condition Maintaining a safe, clean, and comfortable home environment Supporting clients in maintaining their dignity, independence, and quality of life HHA Requirements Current New York State Home Health Aide (HHA) Certification required At least 1 year of professional HHA experience Must be authorized to work in the United States Valid driver's license preferred Reliable transportation strongly preferred Dependable, compassionate, and professional approach to patient care Required Health Documentation Applicants must have current health documentation, including: Physical examination completed within the past 12 months PPD or QuantiFERON test completed within the past year, or chest X-ray completed within the last 5 years MMR immunization documentation within the last 10 years Work Close to Home.
