Lead the research team
that develops a
scalable purification process for innovative, sustainable chemical building blocks used as feedstock for our novel polyester-based plastics

R&D strategy starting from lab scale
screening tests and external technology validations at CDMOs to eventually build up an end-to-end purification process in-house.

such as input and output material specifications together with your R&D colleagues up- and downstream. Use these KPIs to steer your process development.
Use process simulations and techno-economical analyses to
find the best compromise for an economically viable process

Use your creativity and expertise in purification of complex mixtures in combination with a safety oriented working style to
establish a downstreaming process on a 10 kg batch scale

Your profile

Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering or a related field
, concluded with a PhD (or Diploma) in this field.
You have at least 3 years of
industrial experience in process development and process upscaling in the chemical industry
.
You are an
expert in purification processes
like distillation, crystallization, membrane filtration, extraction, etc.
Proven track record in leadership, project management
andsuccessful
implementation of processes/syntheses
Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken); German language skills are advantageous.
You bring a hands-on mindset, structure your work efficiently, and collaborate seamlessly across disciplines – even under the dynamics of a fast-paced start-up environment.
