About The Role

Manages design, installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems in oil & gas projects. Prepares and reviews drawings, technical documents, and BOQs, coordinates with teams, supervises site activities, and ensures compliance with project specs, standards, and HSE requirements. Key Responsibilities: Prepare, review, and analyze electrical deliverables: GA, wiring diagrams, single line diagrams, substation layouts, cable schedules, interconnection diagrams, cable tray layouts, lighting calculations, MCT sizing, lightning and grounding protection. Generate technical documents including execution method statements, termination drawings, bills of materials, junction schedules, and specifications. Apply knowledge of electrical equipment such as MV/LV switchgears, transformers, generators, cables, light fittings, earthing and lightning protection, and perform load calculations. Prepare qualifications, deviations, and exemption lists per client specifications. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate electrical systems into overall project design. Prepare shop and as-built drawings, ensuring documentation is reviewed and approved by the client. Select and specify electrical equipment, materials, and installation methods. Identify scope variations and ensure technical discussion and agreement with client/subcontractor/vendor. Provide onsite supervision during construction and commissioning to ensure installations meet design requirements. Prepare MTO/BOQ based on drawings. Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical items. Monitor document control and proper distribution of project documents. Maintain and monitor calibration of equipment and instruments. Conduct quality audits on subcontractors, vendors, and internal departments. Organize and conduct quality training programs for the workforce. Prepare Technical Queries, Concession Requests, or Waivers. Required Qualifications & Competencies: Education: BE/B. Tech in Electrical Engineering Experience: 10–15 years in oil & gas projects with strong leadership and communication skills Knowledge of LV/MV switchgear, transformers, UPS, cables, motors, and related electrical devices Familiar with single line diagrams, substation layouts, cable routing, trenches, cable schedules, and interconnection drawings Hands-on experience in installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical equipment in substations and field Ability to manage site activities, ensure material availability, and coordinate resources and procurement Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure proper integration of electrical systems Knowledge of international electrical codes and standards, and preparation of shop/as-built drawings. Familiar with HSE requirements and able to coordinate QA/QC activities with clients, contractors, and TPI
