About The Role

Job Summary The Construction / Logistics Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing all construction logistics and site support activities to ensure smooth execution of project works. The role focuses on material flow, equipment movement, site access, storage, and coordination between construction teams, procurement, and suppliers. The position ensures that construction activities are supported efficiently, safely, and in alignment with the approved project schedule, site constraints, and HSE requirements. Key Responsibilities Planning & Logistics Coordination Plan, develop, and implement the overall site logistics strategy in coordination with the Construction Manager and Project Manager. Coordinate material delivery schedules, equipment mobilization, and site access plans to support construction activities. Prepare and manage logistics plans, laydown layouts, traffic management plans, and material flow sequences. Coordinate with Procurement to ensure timely delivery of materials, equipment, and long-lead items. Manage site logistics during critical phases such as mobilization, peak construction, pre-commissioning, and demobilization. Support preparation of look-ahead plans by aligning logistics activities with construction priorities. Site Support & Execution Oversee daily site logistics operations including material receipt, storage, handling, internal distribution, and equipment movement. Ensure materials are delivered to the correct work fronts at the right time to avoid delays and congestion. Coordinate crane usage, lifting schedules, and shared logistics resources in collaboration with construction teams. Manage subcontractor logistics activities and ensure compliance with site logistics procedures. Resolve logistics-related constraints that may impact construction progress. Material & Equipment Control Ensure proper storage, preservation, and protection of materials in accordance with specifications and manufacturer requirements. Monitor material availability, shortages, damages, and wastage, and implement corrective actions. Coordinate return, relocation, or disposal of surplus materials. Support inventory control, reconciliation, and reporting in coordination with Stores and Procurement. Quality, Documentation & Reporting Ensure logistics activities support quality requirements, inspections, and construction sequencing. Maintain logistics records, delivery notes, material movement logs, and site logistics reports. Provide regular updates on logistics performance, risks, and constraints to the Project and Construction Managers. Support audits, inspections, and reporting related to logistics and site operations. Health, Safety & Environment Implement and enforce HSE requirements related to site logistics, material handling, lifting operations, and traffic management. Ensure logistics plans comply with approved risk assessments and method statements. Coordinate with HSE teams to manage high-risk logistics activities and site interfaces. Take corrective action on unsafe logistics practices and support incident investigations. Communication & Liaison Liaise with Construction Managers, Site Engineers, Procurement, Stores, and Subcontractors to align logistics with site needs. Coordinate with suppliers, transporters, and vendors for deliveries and offloading. Support coordination with clients, consultants, and authorities on site access, deliveries, and logistics arrangements. Communicate logistics-related impacts to the Commercial team where delays or changes may affect cost or schedule. Required Qualifications & Competencies Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Logistics, or a related discipline. Minimum 15 years of experience in construction projects, with significant experience in site logistics management. Strong understanding of construction sequencing, site logistics, and material management. Proven ability to manage complex site logistics on large or constrained projects. Strong leadership, coordination, and stakeholder management skills. Good understanding of lifting operations, traffic management, and site safety practices. Ability to plan ahead, manage competing priorities, and resolve operational issues. Strong communication skills with good command of spoken and written English. Proficiency in planning, reporting, and standard office applications.
