Role Overview
1001 is seeking a proactive, creative, and highly motivated
Field Marketing Specialist
to be our brand's "boots-on-the-ground" in Baghdad. This role is responsible for the hands-on execution of our local brand strategy, from driving brand presence and high-impact events to supporting our partners. You will be the marketing team's "eyes and ears," providing critical intelligence on local trends and competitor activities. The ideal candidate is a sharp communicator, deeply connected to Iraqi culture, and passionate about establishing 1001 as a media and tech leader.
Key Responsibilities
Own the end-to-end planning and flawless execution of 1001's presence at key events, managing budgets, vendor coordination, and project timelines with precision.
Serve as the primary on-the-ground marketing contact for B2B partners, managing all communication, supporting promotions, ensuring brand consistency, and aligning activities with internal teams.
Actively monitor and report on all online/offline marketing initiatives—including 1001, partners, and competitors—to deliver actionable insights on public sentiment and emerging trends.
Apply deep cultural expertise and creative judgment to collaborate with the Marketing Director on localized narratives and creative concepts that authentically resonate with the Iraqi audience.
Represent 1001 as a passionate brand ambassador at industry events, building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, media, and content producers.
Track and report on all field marketing KPIs, demonstrating adaptability by solving on-the-ground challenges and adjusting to market demands to keep projects on track.
Qualifications
- Must be a resident of Baghdad.
- 1-3+ years of experience in field marketing, event management, partner marketing, brand marketing, or a similar role.
- Proven ability to plan, manage, and execute events from concept to completion.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in both Arabic (native fluency) and English (advanced proficiency).
- Strong understanding of the Iraqi media, tech, and cultural landscape.
- Experience in media, tech, or telecommunications industries is a strong plus.
- Ability to work independently, proactively, and manage multiple projects in a remote-first environment.
- High proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and project management tools.
