About The Role
Duties
- Information Technology Officer (Development) will be mainly responsible for –
- (a) performing in-house development with full SDLC and documentation;
- (b) providing on-going system maintenance and support such as troubleshooting and bug fixing for various systems and applications;
- (c) handling website updates, managing web hosting and content management platforms;
- (d) providing technical advices to support business requirements;
- (e) engaging and collaborating with stakeholders to meet the business objectives; and
- (f) carrying out other technical and administrative duties as specified by the management.
Entry Requirements
(a) Candidates [See Note (1)] should have –
(i) a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology (IT) or related discipline from a university in Hong Kong, or equivalent;
(ii) met the language proficiency requirements of ‘Level 2’ [See Note (2)] or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent;
(iii) at least four (4) years relevant post-qualification full-time IT working experience, of which two (2) years must be in a similar post and in a comparable capacity; and
(iv) at least two (2) years full-time hands-on experience in Java-based system development.
(b) Candidates should be customer-oriented and able to perform under pressure, willing to work after office hours and occasionally working on an on-call basis as required.
(c) Preference will be given to candidates who have experience in the following areas, technologies and/or products
(i) System Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including feasibility study, system analysis and design, procurement and installation, programming and implementation, system nursing and maintenance;
(ii) Agile software development;
(iii) Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipeline;
(iv) DevSecOps;
(v) Full stack development (MEAN/MERN/LAMP);
(vi) RESTful API development;
(vii) Java frameworks such as Spring MVC, Spring Boot;
(viii) Python, PHP and/or .NET programming;
(ix) NoSQL database;
(x) Containerisation such as Red Hat OpenShift, podman, containerd, KubeSphere, Knative, etc.; and
(xi) Service mesh/serverless architecture.
Pay
HK$45,600 - $48,600 per month
Terms of Appointment
Successful candidates will be appointed on two-year non-civil service contract (NCSC) terms. Further renewal of contract will be subject to the candidate’s performance and service needs.
