Manager (HKTE) Talent Engagement – Chinese Mainland

About The Role
Duties
(a) To identify and engage talents and other stakeholders in Chinese Mainland according to the strategies laid out and foster mutually beneficial relationships that are in line with the mission of HKTE;
(b) To facilitate cross-border initiatives and projects between Hong Kong and Chinese Mainland, promoting collaboration in talent development, innovation and economic partnerships;
(c) To work closely with Hong Kong Economics and Trade Offices and Government offices in Chinese Mainland as well as relevant government bureaux / departments in devising and implementing talent attraction and engagement strategies;
(d) To provide administrative and logistical support for meetings, events and initiatives related to talent engagement activities in Chinese Mainland;
(e) To collaborate with internal teams within HKTE to leverage synergies to enhance the overall impact and effectiveness of the office’s talent engagement and support strategies and foster a proactive and energetic working environment; and
(f) To perform any other duties as assigned by senior officers.
Entry Requirements
Candidates should have –
(a) a Bachelor’s degree from a university in Hong Kong, or equivalent;
(b) a minimum of 12 years' full-time post-qualifications work experience, including at least 8 years of relevant work experience in collaborating with stakeholders in Chinese Mainland;
(c) met the language proficiency requirement of Level 3 or above in English Language (Syllabus B before 2007) and Chinese Language in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE) or the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE), or equivalent;
(Note: Grade C in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in the HKCEE before 2007 are accepted administratively as comparable to Level 3 respectively in Chinese Language and English Language in the 2007 HKCEE and henceforth.)
(d) proven track record of hands-on collaborative experience in dealing with Chinese Mainland authorities and providing excellent customer services to counterparts in business sectors;
(e) excellent interpersonal and communication skills with good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua);
(f) excellent understanding of government affairs especially on engaging talents; and
(g) proficiency in the application of common business software (including MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint) as well as Chinese and English word processing.
Pay
HK$75,830 per month
Terms of Appointment
The successful candidate will be appointed on non-civil service contract terms. The contract period will commence on the first date of reporting duty and last up to 31 March 2028. Renewal of contract will be subject to the discretion of the Government.
