About The Role

Duties

  • The duties of a System Developer include –
  • (a)developing weather forecast products for Low-Altitude Economy (LAE);
  • (b)developing high-resolution weather products using post-processing techniques;
  • (c)maintenance of servers and hardware for LAE weather service;
  • (d)developing forecast products for aviation weather services to support LAE operations; and
  • (e)compiling technical documents and manuals for the relavant systems.

Entry Requirements

Candidates should –

(a)have a Hong Kong bachelor degree in Computer Science, Data Science or other related science and engineering subjects, or equivalent;

(b)have met the language proficiency requirements of Level 2 or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the HKDSEE or HKCEE, or equivalent [Note];

(c)have at least 1 year experience in website development, GIS and 3D data visualization, data analytics, system and server maintenance or hardware implementation; and

(d)knowledge in (i) developing software in Linux environment with Python, C/C++, Shell script; (ii) developing database applications; (iii) developing web-based application using Single-Page Application and Node.js.

Pay

$34,275 per month

Terms of Appointment

A successful candidate will be appointed on non-civil service contract (NCSC) terms up to 12 months. Renewal of contract will be subject to the service need of this Department and the performance of the candidate.

(4)proof of current and previous working experiences.
