Job vacancy: Business Partner

You will be responsible to assist the Lead and/ or Senior Business Partners in providing strategic financial and commercial guidance to a portfolio of business units (SBUs) to influence decisions and shape business outcomes.

In this role you will,

  • Act as a trusted Finance partner to designated strategic business units (SBUs) across the Bank;
  • Prepare and present monthly management reporting packs for assigned SBUs within agreed timeframe – working independently and/or alongside Senior Business Partners or Business Partnering Leads;
  • Critically assess quantitative and qualitative aspects of assigned SBUs’ financial performance and provide actionable insights to management;
  • Support initiatives/projects, strategy formulation and business growth of designated SBUs by providing value-added financial insights and analyses;
  • Prepare annual budgets for designated SBUs, drawing on a sound understanding of key business and financial drivers and taking into account external economic and competitive factors;
  • Support key initiatives at the level of the Bank through close cross-functional collaboration, with a particular emphasis on the financial aspect of such initiatives;
  • Determine appropriate SBU financial KPIs and undertake critical assessment of performance against KPIs;
  • Support the design and execution of cost allocation methodologies using understanding of commercial and operational drivers of assigned SBUs;
  • Close collaboration with the Financial Planning & Analysis team and the broader Finance SBU;
  • Help drive continuous improvement in management reporting, planning and performance management processes.

We are looking for candidates who have

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/ Finance/ Economics/ Statistics/ Management/ Banking/ a related discipline or a Professional Qualification (ACCA/ ACA/ CIMA);
  • At least 5 years of working experience in Banking/ Finance/Audit/ Consulting/ Financial Advisory or any related field.
  • A combination of both qualification & experience will be considered.
