About The Role

Lighthouse Games is a new AAA studio in Leamington Spa. We are defined by our pedigree of talent and serious ambition to build a new best-in-class game. When you join us at Lighthouse, you’ll create the best work of your career within a collaborative, hybrid working environment. You’ll learn from the best and work alongside the future greats of the gaming industry.

We're looking for a Senior Material Artist to join our Vehicle Art team, bringing material and texture expertise to a new IP. • Work with Art Leadership and Vehicle Art to develop workflows that push realism and consistency
  • Partner with Technical Artists and Render Engineers to keep shaders performant

About you

  • Experience creating PBR materials and shaders in Unreal Engine's material editor

  • Comfortable with tools like Substance Painter/Designer and Max/Maya/Blender
  • Solid grasp of real-time rendering and PBR workflows
  • A collaborative mindset and good organisational habits

Requirements

  • Strong experience creating materials and textures for hard-surface assets, with an excellent understanding of how different surfaces behave and appear in the real world.
  • A strong eye for reference and the ability to study real-world materials, construction, wear and surface detail to recreate convincing and accurate results.
  • Proficiency in content creation and rendering tools such as Substance Painter/Designer, Max/Maya/Blender, RealityCapture or equivalent software.
  • Deep understanding of real-time rendering, lighting, PBR workflows and industry standards, with a passion for problem-solving and pushing artistic boundaries.
  • Exceptional organisational abilities and the confidence to collaborate closely with Vehicle Artists and other disciplines across the project.

Desirable

  • Experience with vehicles or automotive visualisation
  • Photogrammetry or material capture know-how
  • An interest in cars, automotive design, or motorsport

Benefits

  • 25 Days Holiday, plus 1 day for your birthday
  • Studio Shutdown between Christmas and New Year
  • Discretionary Bonus Scheme
  • Private Pension Scheme
  • Private Healthcare
  • Health and Well-Being Benefits
  • Dental Care
  • Optical treatments
  • Mental Health Support
