Wealth Core Custody Platform manages client asset position & activity accounting, including post trade processing, real-time activity, position and balance information, and efficient workflows in providing custody services (asset transfers, corporate action processing and cash management and optimization).
How you will fulfill your potential
As a Lead Engineer within the Wealth Management Custody / Asset Transfers Engineering Team, you will be responsible for designing, developing and supporting key Custody / Asset Transfers platforms leveraged by Clients, Wealth Advisors and Operations.
Responsibilities
Lead a high-performing global engineering team in the end-to-end design, development, and deployment of scalable, cloud-native microservice applications.
Partner closely with SRE and production support engineering teams to implement observability, automate incident response, and maintain high availability for mission-critical financial systems.
Drive engineering excellence through rigorous code reviews, architectural steering, and hands-on mentorship to foster a culture of continuous technical growth
Define and enforce global software development lifecycles (SDLC) and industry best practices for robust API contracts and event-driven architectures.
Collaborate with global stakeholders and cross-functional product teams to drive consensus on architectural roadmaps and the implementation of high-impact features across multiple time zones.
Champion the team’s Agile evolution, leading user story refinement, sprint planning, and technical feasibility assessments to ensure high-velocity delivery
Requirements
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related Engineering Field
12+ years of relevant professional experience
Self-motivated with analytical mindset who can multi-task to solve interesting and difficult technical problems under time pressure and resource constraints
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience working directly with both technical and non-technical global stakeholders
Experience in building and maintaining applications involving post trade processing and custodial services (asset servicing/corporate actions, cash management and sub ledger) flows
Experience in modernizing legacy applications (forward and reverse engineering) in agile working environments
Extensive experience in managing production environments working with production engineers and global stakeholders
Experience in data visualization and functional design to create intuitive, data-driven engineering solutions for complex financial datasets
Experience in integrating AI-assisted engineering tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Devin, or Cursor) into the development workflow to accelerate velocity and code quality
Experience working with SQL & NoSQL (MongoDB) solutions
Experience developing Java / Spring Boot microservice applications and REST APIs, preferably working with cloud technologies
