Overall Position Description

The Field Service Technician is responsible for deploying and maintaining high-quality IT services and support for our clients while on-site at their locations. This position is part of the Managed Services Team, requiring a passion for technology, exceptional customer service skills, and the ability to thrive in high-demand, diverse environments.

Key Job Tasks

Overall Duties Include

  • Respond to on-site inquiries and requests for IT assistance.
  • -
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues for users.
  • -
  • Build out, install, and configure network setups at client sites.
  • -
  • Assist with the delivery and setup of firewalls, switches, and peripheral equipment.
  • -
  • Monitor initial setup to ensure correct installation and operational continuity.
  • -
  • Assess network performance, recommend and implement upgrades or improvements.
  • -
  • Ensure milestones are achieved on-time, on-budget, and in scope, addressing issues proactively.

  • Utilize and maintain helpdesk tracking software for client service requests.
  • -
  • Attend and participate in daily morning meetings, maintaining open communication with the Service Coordinator.

  • Track and monitor inventory of tools provided by the company.
  • -
  • Participate in team and project review meetings.
  • -
  • Track, follow, and report on project changes or updates to implementation schedules.
  • -
  • Ensure strict quality of all project deliverables.
  • -
  • Performs all other related duties as assigned by management.*

Qualifications

Required Experience/Education Requirements

  • -
  • High school diploma or equivalent plus specialized training in electronics. Two-three years of experience in IT is also required.

Skills and Expertise Preferred

  • -
  • CompTIA A+, Project+, Network+ certifications (active and current).
  • -
  • Basic comprehension of network setups and configurations.
  • -
  • 3-5 years of experience working in an IT service team or MSP NOC team environment.
  • -
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • -
  • Experience with CRM software.
  • -
  • Pathway to higher credential or certification within 2 years (e.g., MCITP, MCP, CCNA, CCDA, CCNP).
  • -
  • Historically clean motor vehicle driving record, and ability to maintain a clean driving record.

Location

Office is in Filer, Idaho.

Wage

$23-27/hour depending on experience. Potential for Quarterly Bonus and Profit Sharing.
