ADRC Specialist

FLSA Classification : Non-Exempt Status: Part-Time

Key Responsibilities

Client Services & Resource Navigation

  • Respond to individuals seeking assistance through the Aging and Disability Resource Center phone line.
  • Complete comprehensive intake, screening, referral, and follow-up services for older adults, individuals with disabilities, caregivers, families and professional providers.
  • Assess individual needs and provide objective, person-centered information regarding available public benefits, community resources, long-term services, and private care options.
  • Assist individuals in navigating complex service systems while empowering informed decision-making.
  • Advocate on behalf of clients with community agencies and service providers when appropriate.
  • Maintain comprehensive, accurate knowledge of available community resources and continually update referral information.
  • Provide Medicare counseling appointments by phone and in person.
  • Assist clients with:
  • o Medicare enrollment
  • o Medicare Savings Programs
  • o Low-Income Subsidy (Extra Help)
  • o Prescription assistance programs
  • o Appeals and benefits education

Program Compliance & Reporting

  • Ensure timely and accurate documentation within all required state data systems.
  • Verify that all client screenings are entered within required timeframes.

  • Maintain program documentation that meets federal, state, and agency compliance standards.
  • Protect confidential information in accordance with agency policy, HIPAA requirements, and applicable regulations.
  • Promote public awareness of available long-term supports, Medicare counseling services, and community resources.

Continuous Improvement

  • Monitor service quality and identify opportunities to improve customer experience.
  • Participate in professional development and required DAIL training.
  • Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and excellence throughout the program.

Education & Experience

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Gerontology, Psychology, Sociology, Human Services, Public Health, or a closely related field AND/OR equivalent professional experience working with older adults, individuals with disabilities, or community-based services.
  • Compassionate, adaptive communication skills
  • Technical proficiency

Preferred

  • Experience mastering multiple program knowledge while meeting compliance and reporting requirements
