YOUR IMPACT

Focusing onIndustry 4.0andInternet of Things (IoT), you will actively contribute to solving complex client challenges. Your responsibilities will include identifying key issues, forming hypotheses, designing and conducting analyses, and synthesizing insights into actionable recommendations. You will collaborate closely with senior leaders on diverse topics such as line balancing, Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE) improvement, industrial automation, and supply chain optimization.

You will work in Monterrey office as part of McKinsey’s Industrial Hub.

Our Operations practice assists our clients in solving complex operational challenges. Blending strategic thinking with hands-on practicality, our teams of consultants and experts work to develop and implement operational strategies that solve our clients' most critical problems.

McKinsey’s Manufacturing Service Line, as part of the Operations practice, is committed to helping clients align manufacturing strategy to overall business strategy and design and execute manufacturing transformations. Our services in lean transformation are becoming an increasingly necessary requirement for clients in manufacturing sectors as well as non-traditional Lean areas such as process (energy, basic materials) and service (banking, retailing, airlines) industries.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

Bachelor's degree, ideally in engineering field; advanced degree in related fields or MBA is preferred

Experience in a high-performance manufacturing environment

Knowledge in system-level lean transformation, digital manufacturing

Comprehensive understanding of issues related to production system improvement, reliability centered maintenance, and the applications of Kaizen gained from world-class lean manufacturing organizations

Exposure to operations-oriented analytical and methodological services

Strong intrinsic problem-solving skills, ability to structure and solve problems and conduct and interpret analysis independently, with demonstrated analytic and quantitative skills

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Strong record of leadership in an academic, professional, or extracurricular setting

Mobile and excited to take on longer international assignments

Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively, both verbally and in writing, in English
