About The Role

Mō te tūranga | About the role

We’re looking for an experienced Road Marking Operator to join our Coastline Markers team in Whangārei. This is a hands-on role doing Good Work that matters. You’ll be working in live roading environments, so you’ll need to be safety focused.

This role is not suited to someone looking to enter road marking for the first time. To be considered, you must bring proven road marking experience and hold a current Class 2 licence.

Ngā tino kawenga mahi | Key role responsibilities

  • Carry out new installation and remarking of existing road markings across projects and local road maintenance contracts.
  • Operate and maintain road marking equipment, including Kadcam and Graco line lasers.
  • Work safely and efficiently in a physical environment involving large machinery, and active worksites.
  • Set up and pack down TTM as required , mak ing sure the right materials, tools, plant and equipment are ready and fit for use.
  • Complete quality checks, pre-start inspections and support the team to deliver high-quality outcomes getting the job done right.
  • Liaise with customers or site engineers on site to ensure work is delivered to standard.
  • While this role is essentially day shift, you’ll need to be flexible to work night shifts, weekends, and travel outside the Whangārei region when required .

  • A minimum of 2 years’ previous road marking experience. This is non-negotiable.
  • Current Class 2 licence. D angerous Goods and F orklift endorsements are preferred (will support re-certification .
  • Proven experience operating and maintaining road marking equipment, including Kadcam and Graco line lasers.
  • A positive attitude to health, safety, and quality, plus the ability to work well in a close-knit team.
  • Traffic management qualifications and experience are an advantage, but not essential.
