About The Role
Costain are working with Thames Water on a variety of water and wastewater projects and have fantastic opportunities for individuals to join our growing AMP8 delivery team, working predominantly across the Thames Valley and Thames South regions. There is a mix of projects ranging from smaller capital maintenance to large civil new build schemes.
The Site Agent will support the delivery of planned work across the Thames Water project and develop key relationships with operational personnel, supply chain partners and the wider delivery teams. The role will deliver multiple on-going projects to the specified quality, maximising commercial performance and maintaining high standards of health & safety and environmental impact.

- Line management and development of site teams
- Ensure production and implementation of project plans, RAMs, ITPs and waste management
- Be responsible for robust and comprehensive site records (diaries, allocation sheets etc)
- Ensure supply chain remain compliant with the framework management plan
- Create a safety culture to strive toward zero LTI and RIDDOR incidents
- Maintain a commercial focus with a high level of challenge on project scope and choosing efficient delivery strategies
- Work closely with all project teams to ensure sites have suitably competent and skilled resources required to complete tasks
- Ensure delivery teams are engaged at operational level and supportive of the projects and services and their potential impacts
- Ensure consistent and reliable reporting of project SHE metrics, progress, cost, change etc.
- Ensure key project risks are identified early, and mitigated where possible
- Previous experience of working on multidisciplinary projects
- Experience working with MEICA interfaces and or in a water environment would be beneficial
- A team player who can develop good team working relationships and demonstrate collaborative behaviours
- Experience of managing and delivering projects (or packages of work within larger projects) safely to quality, time and budget
- Practical experience and familiarity of delivery to NEC forms of contract
- Ability to build trusted relationships with key stakeholders, within your team and across the operational sites
- Computer competence (standard Microsoft tools, document control system, Primavera software, etc)
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Full UK driving licence
- HNC/HND or degree in a relevant civil engineering discipline
- SMSTS qualification
- Relevant CSCS card
