About The Role

About the Team

You will join the Fulfilment and Experience (F&E) leadership team at Meesho. F&E is the operational and technological backbone powering India’s most cost-efficient, reliable, and scalable e-commerce network, serving 100M+ monthly active users.

From disintermediating traditional logistics through Valmo (Meesho’s unbundled micro-entrepreneur supply platform) to driving zero-commission seller enablement and real-time speed platforms, F&E operates at the intersection of deep systems thinking, network engineering, and structural innovation. We solve industry-defining supply chain problems at a scale that few companies globally can match.

About the Role

As a Director within F&E, you will be a critical anchor shaping how buyers and sellers experience the platform and how efficiently and reliably it runs. This is a highly generalist leadership role designed for a strategic problem-solver who can navigate seamlessly between long-term strategic transformation and large-scale, metrics-driven execution.

Rather than being confined to a single vertical, you will own one (and over time, potentially more than one) of Meesho's most critical F&E charters. Depending on where the business needs you most and where your strengths lie, this could be any of:

Valmo Platform & Network Economics: Scale Meesho’s low-cost logistics ecosystem. Drive unbundled logistics innovation across Valmo Airhubs (first/last mile), Valmo Bases (sortation/middle mile), and Captains & Pilots (franchise partners and delivery execution) to reduce Cost-Per-Delivery-Order (CPDO) while improving SLA predictability.

Speed Platform & Valmo Express: Build product and operational levers that make fast delivery a structural advantage. Drive program adoption (e.g., "FAST" badges, early-morning cutoff SLAs, dedicated FE pickups) to lower RTO (Return to Origin) and cancellation rates.

User Experience & Buyer Trust: Architect end-to-end pre- and post-order journeys for India’s price-sensitive Tier-2+ consumers. Solve complex operational challenges around 7-day return lifecycles, fake-delivery mitigation, and localized tracking updates.

Seller (Supplier) Experience: Own seller onboarding, dispatch panels, auto-manifesting, claims engines, and payout predictability. Protect seller economics in a 0% commission ecosystem through efficient return disputations and inventory health tools.

Central Cost & Reliability Platforms: Manage overall platform health, CPDO baselines, and cross-dock reliability through machine learning forecasting tools and automated Control Towers.

What you will do

Strategic & Operational Ownership: Define and execute the 12–18 month roadmap for your charter, balancing growth, operational SLA performance, and unit economics.

First-Principles Systems Engineering: Identify structural network bottlenecks, anticipate second- and third-order order flow impacts, and build early-warning systems to mitigate disruptions before they affect buyers or sellers.

P&L & CPDO Efficiency: Drive continuous cost-to-serve reductions while ensuring neutral-to-accretive impacts on Net Merchandise Value (NMV). Ensure all program investments yield clear ROI within 12–18 months.

Product & Tech Interventions: Partner closely with Product and Engineering leadership to automate manual interventions, refine dynamic line-haul and vehicle routing algorithms (VRP), and build automated control tower monitoring.

Cross-Functional Alignment: Collaborate across Category, Tech, Finance, and Customer Experience teams, alongside external partner networks, to align operational capability with platform growth targets.

People Leadership: Build, mentor, and scale a bench of central and regional operational leaders. Cultivate an environment rooted in accountability, rapid experimentation, and data-backed decision-making

What you will need

Experience: 10–15 years of total experience combining background from a top-tier management consultancy (McKinsey, BCG, Bain, AT Kearney, etc.) with operational or product leadership in high-growth tech platforms, e-commerce, or large-scale supply chain ecosystems.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology or Master’s/MBA from a premier institution

Deep Systems Thinking: Ability to decompose messy, unstructured business challenges into structured platform interventions.

Data & Metrics Fluency: Comfort operating in hyper-analytical environments, using metrics to diagnose root causes across CPDO, hub density, RTO rates, and seller NPS.

Generalist Adaptability: Demonstrated ability to enter unfamiliar operational spaces, build rapid context, and deliver measurable impact across different functional domains.
