Manager, Commercial

JASARA PMC is excited to invite applications for the role of Manager, Commercial. In this strategic position, you will be responsible for leading and managing the commercial activities across a range of projects, ensuring optimal financial performance and compliance with contractual obligations. Your expertise will play a vital role in the success of our projects by overseeing procurement, cost management, and contract negotiations. You will work closely with project teams and stakeholders to implement effective commercial strategies that align with the overarching goals of JASARA PMC.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the commercial management processes by overseeing and directing all commercial aspects of projects
• Develop and implement procurement strategies and manage contract negotiations with suppliers and subcontractors
• Monitor project performance against financial targets and provide insightful reporting to senior management
• Assess and manage financial risks associated with project delivery
• Establish strong working relationships with clients and stakeholders to facilitate successful project outcomes
• Ensure compliance with organizational and industry standards in all commercial activities
• Guide and mentor junior commercial staff, fostering a high-performance team environment

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field
• At least 12 years of experience in commercial management within the construction or engineering industry
• Proven track record of managing complex contracts and procurement processes
• Strong negotiation skills with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors
• Knowledge of contract law and regulations
• Demonstrated ability to analyze financial data and make informed decisions
• Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Proficiency with ERP platforms, procurement systems, contract management tools, and cost-control/reporting tools
• Experience presenting commercial or financial reporting to senior management
• Experience working with cross-functional project teams
• Relevant commercial or project certification such as MRICS, CIPS, or PMP is a plus.
