Wood is currently recruiting for a Structure Supervisor to join our team for a major EPCM refinery project in Si Racha, Chonburi, Thailand . What makes you remarkable?

Reporting to the Construction Manager / Site Construction Lead , your immediate focus will be overseeing structural construction activities on a major EPCM refinery project, ensuring safe execution, quality compliance, and schedule achievement across all assigned work areas.

You will thrive in a site-based environment where your ability to coordinate contractors, monitor structural construction progress, and proactively address challenges will contribute to successful project delivery.

In addition, you will

  • Ensure that all construction contractors’ supervision and manpower are instructed in and comply with all aspects of the Company Health, Safety, Environment and Security (HSES) policy, site regulations, permit-to-work procedures, and client requirements
  • Ensure construction contractors working within the structural discipline adhere strictly to the latest Approved for Construction (AFC) drawings, specifications, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), procedures, and site instructions
  • Supervise and coordinate structural construction activities including structural steel fabrication, erection, installation, alignment, bolting, welding, testing, walk-downs, punch listing, reinstatement, and pre-commissioning activities
  • Monitor field construction progress and ensure all activities are completed in accordance with approved schedules, quality requirements, and project objectives
  • Responsible for HSES and quality performance within assigned areas and ensure contractors complete their work safely and efficiently
  • Conduct site inspections, construction surveillance, walk-downs, punch listing activities, and verification of completed work
  • Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, project engineers, quality personnel, and client representatives to achieve project milestones
  • Review and support construction methodologies, lifting plans, Method Statements, Job Safety Analyses (JSA), and Risk Assessments for structural construction activities
  • Ensure all structural steel installation, inspection, testing, and documentation activities are completed in accordance with project specifications and applicable industry standards
  • Identify, report, and assist in resolving construction issues, technical queries, and site constraints related to structural works
  • Verify that construction activities are performed in accordance with approved drawings, procedures, and quality requirements
  • Provide proactive support to the project team and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the construction site

Expected

This opportunity is available to Thai Nationals only. Candidates must have the legal right to work in Thailand.

Suitably qualified with a Vocational Certificate, Diploma, or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline , you will ideally have experience in a Structure Supervisor role on major EPCM, Oil & Gas, Refinery, Petrochemical, or Power projects , supported by a minimum of 10 years of relevant construction experience .

In addition, you will

  • Have extensive experience managing structural construction activities including structural steel fabrication, erection, steel structures, foundations, buildings, testing, walk-downs, punch listing, reinstatement, and pre-commissioning activities
  • Have a minimum of 10 years of experience working on live plant, greenfield, brownfield, turnaround, shutdown, or revamp projects within industrial facilities
  • Possess strong knowledge of structural steel drawings, General Arrangement (GA) drawings, fabrication drawings, erection drawings, and project specifications
  • Have sound knowledge of structural steel installation, bolted and welded connections, alignment requirements, lifting operations, and quality inspection requirements
  • Demonstrate good HSES awareness and commitment, including experience preparing or reviewing Method Statements, Job Safety Analyses (JSA), and Risk Assessments
  • Have experience supervising contractors and ensuring compliance with project safety, quality, and schedule requirements
  • Possess strong technical knowledge relating to structural steel construction, inspection requirements, material control, and installation practices
  • Be a proactive and self-motivated professional with strong interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Demonstrate sound problem-solving and decision-making abilities in a dynamic construction environment
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
