Grade: 200

Salary: $26.21/hour

Job Duties

  • Responds to user requests for support or services including but not limited to touch screen systems, radios, intercoms, CCTV/ video surveillance systems, metal detectors, electronic access control systems, camcorders, body scanning equipment and any other common electronic or technology related hardware or software.
  • Reviews incoming support requests from staff members, forwards and collaborates with Jackson County IT Department, outside vendors or service providers.
  • Provides regular maintenance and repair, replacement or parts including but not limited to cameras, hardware, electronic intercom, or communication devices.
  • Evaluates technology systems and operations monthly and submits findings and recommendations.
  • Works with users in conducting training in the use of Detention Center specific software applications and methods, inmate tracking system hardware and software, electronic access control and CCTV/video surveillance hardware and software.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or five (5) years’ experience.
  • Must have a valid Driver License and provide his/her own transportation.
  • The associate is provided mobile devices including phone and laptop and is required to be on call outside of working hours for emergency support requirements.
  • Must submit to/pass a police background and drug screen.
