About The Role
To oversee and optimise daily insurance operations of FNB Insurance Brokerage to ensure efficiency, quality, and cost-effective resource management. This job is key in aligning Insurance operational activities with strategic objectives, driving continuous improvement, fostering a culture of excellence, claims administration, policy servicing, risk management, and broker/insurer relationship management. Streamlines business processes, achieves performance targets, and ensures consistent client satisfaction
- Key responsibilities include:
- Managing insurance operations, including policy administration, renewals, endorsements, premium management, claims processing, and client service.
- Overseeing employee and corporate insurance schemes such as Short term, Group Life Assurance, Medical Aid, Funeral Cover, and other employee benefit programmes.
- Ensuring accurate policyholder data, proper record management, and strong operational controls to maintain data integrity.
- Leading and monitoring the claims process to ensure timely, fair, and accurate claims settlement while identifying opportunities to improve processes and mitigate risks.
- Ensuring compliance with insurance legislation, governance standards, insurer requirements, and internal policies, while implementing controls to manage operational and financial risks.
- Managing relationships with insurers, brokers, reinsurers, and service providers, including oversight of service level agreements and operational performance.
- Producing operational, claims, and management reports, analysing trends and KPIs to support decision-making and business improvement initiatives.
- Driving process optimisation, automation, quality assurance, and the implementation of new insurance products and system enhancements.
- Administering employee benefit programmes, including renewals, reconciliations, membership updates, and insurer submissions.
- Acting as the primary operational liaison between the organisation, insurers, brokers, Human Capital, Finance, Risk, and other stakeholders to ensure effective service delivery and alignment with business objectives.
