About The Role
MAJOR FUNCTION
Systematically evaluates the strengths, needs, preferences, and challenges of infants and children, in collaboration with the family, as part of a NJ Early Intervention Team. Collaborates with family and other Individual Family Service Plan Team Members to develop an Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) which incorporates family priorities/concerns, clinical observation, and evaluation/assessment data to develop child and family outcomes. Implements evidenced-based instructional practices in the child’s natural environment. Provides education, resources, and coaching to clients, family, caregivers, and health care professionals to promote and maintain health and well-being.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Experience
- Minimum of a Bachelor of Science Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited college/university.
- Preferably, at least one year of documented professional experience with individuals from birth to five years of age who have developmental delays and disabilities.
- Use of Evidence Based Practice in providing NJEIS Services
- Competent in use of HIPPA Compliant Technology and Web-based applications
Certification/ Licensure
- Licensed Occupational Therapist, State of New Jersey Department of Law and Public Safety, Division of Consumer Affairs, Occupational Therapy Advisory Council.
