Junior Safety Officer

Activities

• Assist in implementing and monitoring HSE policies and procedures across project sites.
• Ensure compliance with company HSE requirements and UAE safety regulations.
• Conduct daily site safety inspections and report unsafe acts and conditions.
• Monitor piling activities, excavation works, lifting operations, and heavy equipment operations.
• Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions, and safety awareness activities.
• Assist in incident, accident, and near-miss investigations and follow up on corrective actions.
• Monitor Permit to Work (PTW) requirements and ensure safe work practices are followed.
• Ensure workers comply with approved risk assessments and method statements.
• Assist in maintaining HSE documentation, inspection records, and statutory reports.
• Participate in emergency drills and support emergency response preparedness.
• Monitor subcontractor activities and report HSE non-compliance.
• Promote a positive and proactive safety culture across the project.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Safety, or a related field.
• Minimum 1–2 years of HSE/Safety experience, preferably in construction.
• NEBOSH IGC or IOSH certification is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of UAE HSE regulations and construction safety practices.
• Good communication and reporting skills.
• Willingness to work on construction/project sites.
