About The Role
- Full-time (80 hours biweekly)
- 8:00am-4:30pm
General Summary
Supervises employees of the Scheduling Department while maintaining and establishing positive relations with customers, referral sources, and other departments across WellSpan and WellSpan VNA.
Duties and Responsibilities
Essential Functions
- Management of daily scheduling needs to support Administrative Secretary team.
- Ensures excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
- Provides assistance in establishment of department procedures and policies. Adheres to the policies and procedures of the organization
- Manages staff scheduling functions to ensure scheduling team responds promptly to all communications from patients and employees.
- Ensures that all referrals and evaluations are scheduled in a timely manner within the services provided by WellSpan VNA Home Care.
- Encourages scheduling team to establish positive working relationships with all.
- Ensures compliance with all State, Federal and Joint Commission regulatory requirements.
- Reports on scheduling statistics by reviewing appropriate scheduling reports.
- Precepts new staff and develops ongoing training plans.
- Contributes to performance appraisals for direct reports and participates in 360 reviews for other teammates as requested.
- Participates in continuous improvement in real-time problem-solving activities to promote continuous improvement processes and services.

- Provides outstanding service to all customers; fosters teamwork; and practices fiscal responsibility through improvement and innovations.
Qualifications
Minimum Education
- High School Diploma or GED Required
- Associates Degree Preferred
- Bachelors Degree Preferred
Work Experience
- 1 year Experience in a home health environment. Required
Licenses
- Licensed Practical Nurse Upon Hire Preferred or
- Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant Upon Hire Preferred or
- Licensed Occupational Therapist Assistant Upon Hire Preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Demonstrated knowledge in clinical operations.
- Ability to exercise leadership as well as to work in a collaborative team relationship with professionals.
- Ability to accept and utilize administrative direction and consultation.
- Ability to communicate effectively both oral and written.
- Possesses good conceptual skills.
- Ability to use the problem-solving approach in assessing, analyzing, and planning.
- Ability and desire to develop professionally and to mentor others.
- Ability to use lean process improvement to implement and evaluate system changes.
- Strong computer knowledge base with emphasis in Microsoft Office.
