About The Role
**This is a 12 hour position, with requirements of one 12 hour day shift and one 12 night shift per week.**
Operate electrocardiography equipment to record the electromotive variations in heart muscle actions; assist in the coding, filing and distribution of EKG data. Assist in emergency situations by initiating and/or assisting in emergency procedures prescribed by Emory Healthcare policies.
Education & Training
High School diploma or GED equivalent.
Experience
None
Required Certification/Registration/Licensure
Current AHA/ARC BLS certification. Upon completion of training period, may attempt to satisfy requirements to become a Certified Cardiograph Technician as set forth by the National Society of Cardiovascular Testing and Cardiology Credentialing International. Successful completion of an HHC Basic Rhythm Interpretation Course or CLEP Exam within nine (9) months of hire.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Utilizes a variety of diagnostic equipment and office supplies.
