About The Role

Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform MIG welding on mild steel and structural steel components.
  • •Read and interpret fabrication and engineering drawings.
  • •Prepare materials by cutting, grinding, cleaning and fitting components prior to welding.
  • •Produce high-quality welds that meet project specifications and quality standards.
  • •Carry out tack welding, fabrication and assembly of steel components.
  • •Inspect completed welds for quality and dimensional accuracy.
  • •Operate welding equipment, grinders, cutting equipment and associated fabrication tools safely.
  • •Work in accordance with approved Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS).
  • •Maintain welding equipment and ensure work areas are clean and organised.
  • •Follow all Health & Safety procedures, company policies and quality standards.
  • •Report defects, non-conformances or safety concerns promptly.
  • •Work effectively as part of a fabrication or site-based team.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years' proven experience as a MIG Welder in construction, heavy engineering or steel fabrication.
  • Experience welding mild steel and structural steel.
  • Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings and technical specifications.
  • Experience using fabrication equipment including grinders, cutting tools and associated workshop machinery.
  • Ability to consistently produce high-quality welds to specification.
  • Strong understanding of workplace Health & Safety practices.
  • Good spoken and written English.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to relocate to Ireland and work on various project locations.
