- What Will You Do?
- Develop, review, and execute Unit Test Specifications for automotive embedded software applications.
- Perform Black Box and White Box testing to ensure software quality, robustness, and compliance.
- Design, automate, and maintain unit test cases using VectorCAST.
- Analyze software requirements, architecture, and design documents to achieve complete test coverage.
- Execute target-based and simulator-based testing and support software integration activities.
- Identify, debug, and analyze software defects, working closely with development teams to drive timely resolution.
- Collaborate with software developers, architects, system engineers, and test teams across the V-Model and Agile development lifecycle.
- Ensure compliance with ASPICE, ISO 26262, MISRA guidelines, and project-specific quality standards.
- Contribute to test planning, effort estimation, risk identification, and project milestone tracking.
- Drive continuous improvements in test methodologies, automation frameworks, and engineering best practices.
- Participate in technical reviews, audits, and customer-facing discussions when required.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on unit testing approaches and tools.
What Will You Bring?
- 5-8 years of experience in Embedded Software Testing with strong expertise in Software Unit Testing for automotive applications.
- Strong understanding of SDLC, V-Cycle, Agile methodologies, and software testing processes.
- Hands-on experience in Black Box and White Box testing of embedded systems.
- Strong programming skills in Embedded C and working knowledge of Python scripting for test automation.
- Proven experience with unit testing tools such as VectorCAST, LDRA, RTRT, or equivalent.
- Experience developing and maintaining automated test frameworks and improving test efficiency.
- Good knowledge of ASPICE, ISO 26262 Functional Safety, MISRA guidelines, and software quality standards.
- Experience working with automotive ECUs, microcontrollers, and safety-critical embedded systems.
- Understanding of automotive communication protocols and diagnostics standards, including CAN, SPI, and ISO 14229 (UDS).
- Strong software debugging, root cause analysis, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Familiarity with tools such as Codebeamer, Enterprise Architect, Lauterbach, CANalyzer, Green Hills, IAR, Eclipse, Tasking Compiler, and WinIdea.
- Hands-on experience with Jenkins server administration and CI/CD pipeline development.
- Experience in planning, tracking, and managing tasks across the software development lifecycle.
- Experience in technical reviews, effort estimation, stakeholder collaboration, and mentoring team members.
- Exposure to Restraint Control Systems (RCS), or other safety-critical automotive domains is preferred.
- ISTQB certification and Functional Safety project experience are added advantages.
- Strong communication skills, ownership mindset, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Preferred Qualification: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline .
