Responsibilities
- Supporting the implementation of NAC's Quality Assurance and Quality Control processes on active construction projects.
- Working with project management team members.
- Supporting quality control activities on active construction projects.
- Familiar with working on large scale construction sites.
- Reviewing drawings, specifications, contracts and approved shop drawings.
- Familiarity with civil, mechanical and electrical construction activities.
- Completing field inspections and documenting construction deficiencies.
- Coordinating material testing, including concrete, soil compaction, etc.
- Reviewing material receiving documentation, certificates of compliance and record keeping.
- Tracking non-conformance reports, deficiencies, corrective actions and closeout items.
- Working with project management team members and being a support staff.
- Participating in preparatory meetings and quality inspections.
Requirements
- New graduate s are encouraged to apply
- Understanding of construction quality assurance and quality control principles.
- Working in the field focused for a proactive quality mindset is a must.
- Attention to detail and ability to identify work that does not meet project requirements.
- Effective field inspection, observation and documentation skills.
- Ability to prepare clear inspection reports.
- Strong organizational and document control skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, Procore
- Ability to work independently while still maintaining clear, effective communication to other project team members is a must.
- Understanding of ISO 9001 quality management principles would be an asset.
- Understanding how to navigate CSA, and other industry standards.
