Job Summary: We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled Backend Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and RESTful APIs using Node.js. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, microservices, and modern engineering practices for building secure, high-performing systems.

Key Responsibilities

• 📌 Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and RESTful APIs using Node.js.
• 📌 Participate in solution design, technical estimation, and architecture discussions for new features and enhancements.
• 📌 Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code while following coding standards and best practices.
• 📌 Perform code reviews, identify technical risks, and contribute to improving overall code quality.
• 📌 Design and optimize database schemas, queries, and indexes for PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
• 📌 Integrate third-party services, APIs, and internal microservices.
• 📌 Ensure application security, performance, reliability, and scalability by following modern engineering practices.
• 📌 Troubleshoot production issues, participate in incident response, and implement long-term fixes.
• 📌 Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including frontend developers, QA engineers, and product managers, to deliver high-quality features.

Qualifications

• ✔ 4–5+ years of professional experience in backend development using Node.js.
• ✔ Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and experience with frameworks such as Express.js or similar.
• ✔ Strong understanding of asynchronous programming, event-driven architecture, and Node.js internals.
• ✔ Hands-on experience designing and developing RESTful APIs (GraphQL is a plus).
• ✔ Must have experience with PostgreSQL and MongoDB, including schema design, query optimization, indexing, and performance tuning.
• ✔ Good understanding of authentication and authorization mechanisms such as JWT, OAuth2, and role-based access control.
• ✔ Experience writing unit and integration tests using frameworks such as Jest, Mocha, or similar.
• ✔ Strong understanding of Git and modern development workflows.

Preferred Qualifications

• ✔ Experience with microservices, message queues (RabbitMQ, Kafka, etc.), and distributed systems.
• ✔ Working knowledge of Docker, containerized deployments, and CI/CD pipelines.
• ✔ Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• ✔ Knowledge of Golang.
• ✔ Strong understanding of application security, scalability, performance optimization, and backend design patterns.
