KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Credit Risk Assessment and Portfolio Management

  • Perform financial analysis and credit reviews for new and existing customers of low to medium complexity.
  • Gather, review and maintain financial and business information from internal and external sources.
  • Assess customer payment behavior, financial strength, industry risks and business outlook.
  • Recommend appropriate credit limits, payment terms and risk mitigation measures within delegated authority.
  • Maintain customer records and ensure credit documentation is complete, accurate and up to date.
  • Monitor customer exposure and identify emerging credit risks requiring escalation.
  • Execute periodic credit reviews and support bulk credit review activities.

Collection and Accounts Receivable Management

  • Manage assigned accounts receivable portfolio and ensure timely collection of outstanding balances.
  • Monitor overdue balances and proactively contact customers to resolve payment issues. Archive communications in the ERP system.
  • Coordinate account reconciliation activities and support dispute resolution processes.
  • Release customer orders when appropriate and consistent with approved credit policies.
  • Ensure customer exposure remains within approved credit limits and company risk guidelines.

Customer Negotiation and Risk Mitigation

  • Negotiate payment arrangements and payment performance improvement plans with customers. Negotiating payment agreements, conditions, timeframe, and interest, in pre-agreement with the BU Coordinators, Director of Credit
  • Work with customers to resolve overdue balances, disputes and account concerns.
  • Support negotiation of security instruments and risk mitigation solutions where appropriate.
  • Escalate high-risk or complex situations to Credit Management with supporting recommendations.

Business Partnership and Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Develop strong working relationships with Business Unit Finance, Commercial teams, Customer Service, Sales representatives and other internal stakeholders.
  • Provide risk assessments and recommendations that support informed commercial decisions.
  • Participate in discussions regarding customer strategy, account development and risk management.
  • Communicate credit risks, collection concerns and customer developments to stakeholders in a timely manner.
  • Support BU cash flow and working capital objectives through effective portfolio management.

Process Improvement and Projects

  • Participate in department and cross-functional projects focused on process improvement, automation and digital transformation.
  • Contribute to standardization, reporting enhancements and operational excellence initiatives.
  • Support testing, implementation and continuous improvement of credit and collection tools and processes.
  • Share best practices and contribute to team knowledge development.
