About The Role

As a Credit Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the company's credit management strategies. Your role will involve evaluating credit applications, assessing creditworthiness, and making informed decisions to mitigate risks. You will collaborate with various teams to ensure smooth credit operations and provide valuable insights for business growth.
  • Evaluate and analyze credit applications, financial statements, and other relevant data to assess creditworthiness.
  • Make informed credit decisions, considering risk factors and company policies, to approve or decline credit applications.
  • Monitor and manage existing credit accounts, ensuring timely payments and identifying potential risks or issues.
  • Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop and implement effective credit policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation for all credit-related activities, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Conduct regular credit reviews and analyses to identify trends, assess portfolio performance, and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners to facilitate smooth credit operations.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes to ensure the company's credit practices remain competitive and compliant.
  • Provide support and guidance to the customer care team in resolving credit-related inquiries and disputes.
  • Assist in developing and implementing strategies to enhance the company's credit management processes and systems.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in credit management or a similar role, preferably in the BFSI industry.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and make sound credit judgments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively.
  • Proficiency in using credit analysis tools and software, as well as MS Office applications.
  • Knowledge of credit laws, regulations, and best practices in the industry.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate records.
  • Willingness to stay updated with industry trends and continuous professional development.
  • A self-starter with a proactive approach to problem-solving and a customer-centric mindset.
