Physical Therapist, PRN

About The Role
The Physical Therapist performs evaluations on patients for Physical Therapy needs and develops a plan care for treatment. Administers treatment(s) and test(s) as prescribed by the physician. Conducts educational talks (in service) on benefits of Physical Therapy to patients, families, other disciplines (hospital staff), and to the community. Non-patient related duties include, but are not limited to assisting in clerical duties of the department, posting charges, and housekeeping duties within the Rehabilitation Department.
The successful candidate
- Must be able to work PRN/as needed between Monday-Friday, 8:00a-5:00p with an occasional Saturday.
- Provides therapeutic rehabilitation services including patient treatment, education, documentation, outcome tracking, and charge entry in compliance with state practice regulations.
- Develops individualized treatment plans with established goals, timelines, and assessments of rehabilitation potential based on practitioner referrals.
- Consults with physicians regarding treatment plan modifications, clarification of orders, patient outcomes, and durable medical equipment recommendations.
- Participates in departmental, hospital, and corporate performance improvement initiatives, including goal development, implementation, and progress monitoring.
- Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, efficient patient care, patient education, and continuity of care.
- Provides leadership within the rehabilitation department by coordinating, delegating, and guiding patient care to optimize outcomes.
- Serves as a mentor and resource for rehabilitation staff through supervision and training of PT/PTA students, PT technicians, PTAs, and newly hired Physical Therapists.
Qualifications
Your qualifications should include
- Must be a Graduate or have a certificate/diploma from and APTA approved school of Physical Therapy or a school approved by the World Congress of Physical Therapy
- Must acquire a current temporary license or pass the State Licensure examination
- 1 year minimum experience preferred
- BLS Certified
