AI & Automation Intern

About The Role

Duration: Period of 4–6 months - September Start.

Talk360 is a purpose-driven international scale-up on a mission to connect people around the world with their family and friends. Millions of calls run through our platform every month, across dozens of markets — and behind those calls sits an operation we are smartly automating.

We are looking for an intern who wants to spend four to six months building automations that people actually use every day.

You will sit with our Operations team and own real workflows end to end: find the manual, repetitive process, map it, build it in n8n, wire it into the systems that matter, and keep it running. Where a workflow needs judgement rather than logic, you will put an AI model inside it.

The second half of the role is enablement. Automations only pay off if teams trust and use them, so you will also help colleagues across Support, Finance, Commercial and Product get comfortable with the AI tools we run — through short training sessions, clear documentation, and templates they can pick up themselves.

This is hands-on and unglamorous in the best way. Expect APIs, webhooks, JSON, broken edge cases and the satisfaction of deleting somebody's weekly spreadsheet ritual for good.

What you'll do

  • Build automations. Design and ship workflows in n8n that remove manual work across Operations, Support, Finance and Product.
  • Connect our systems. Integrate internal and third-party tools via APIs and webhooks — payments platforms, our data warehouse, Slack, Jira, Confluence and our support stack.
  • Put AI to work. Use LLM APIs inside workflows for classification, summarisation, drafting and monitoring, and learn what AI should and shouldn't be trusted with.
  • Keep it reliable. Add error handling and alerting, monitor what you've built, and fix it before someone else notices.
  • Document properly. Write up workflow logic in Confluence so the automation outlives your internship.
  • Hunt for bottlenecks. Sit with teams, map how work actually happens, and bring your own proposals for what to automate next.
  • Run enablement. Deliver internal training sessions and practical guides that help teams use AI tools well.

Example projects

  • A scheduled anomaly detection workflow that queries our data warehouse and pushes alerts into Slack when something looks wrong.
  • Automated weekly and monthly operational reporting, replacing a manual pull-and-paste routine.
  • AI-assisted triage and drafting for inbound support and customer reviews.
  • Reusable n8n templates plus a training session so other teams can build simple automations themselves.
