About The Role

As a Senior Product Configuration Engineer , you will be an individual contributor working with a team that supports design automation across Mining products, including Proposal and Pricing documents, as well as product optimisation .

Your responsibilities

  • You will be responsible for designing & developing product models in Tacton Configurator Studio
  • Mapping the product models using Tacton Design Automation for SolidWorks.
  • Supports the maintenance and improvement of the existing tacton product models
  • Provide technical assistance to the team on design automation (3D model / 2D Drawing)
  • Interact with the on-site product team & counterpart to clarify product design.
  • Ensure compliance with specification requirements.
  • Timely review of the drawings developed by the draftsman & engineers.
  • Reviewing the new BOM & comparing it with the existing product configuration.
  • Define the design automation required for the project/product and communicate with the team member.
  • Delegate the tasks within the team and update the status to the team lead.
  • Maintain the productivity and efficiency of the team.
  • Ensure error-free documentation from designers & engineers with adherence to guidelines defined on design automation.
  • Highlight any delays in inputs or progress to the management and provide mitigation plans to minimise the delays.
  • Identify CTO and ETO processes and automate the product configuration.
  • Ensure all the preliminary activities are covered in the design automation phase from the CTO and CPQ perspectives.
  • Confirm the smooth transition between CPQ and enovia.

What you bring

  • 4 to 6 years of Hands-on experience with Tacton modelling. (mandatory)
  • 8 to 12 years of Hands-on experience in Part modelling, assembly, and Drawings (Solidworks mandatory)
  • Shall have good knowledge of SolidWorks Configurations & design tables.
  • Shall have good knowledge of design automation tools.
  • Knowledge of SolidWorks API is a plus.
  • Knowledge in Tacton CPQ is Plus.
  • Good knowledge of Machine design.
  • Good interpersonal skills and communication.
  • Good at estimating time and effort for a given task.
