About The Role

  • Reporting to our Production Supervisor, we are seeking Team Leaders who are responsible for providing effective
  • ‘on-the-ground’ leadership to all production staff, ensuring that output targets, product quality, and safety
  • standards are consistently achieved. This role involves supervising General Assembly Operators, coordinating
  • workflow and driving continuous improvement in the manufacturing of low-voltage products. The successful
  • candidate will be passionate about what they do, thrive in a fast-paced environment, be ready to develop and

What You'll Be Doing

Production Management

  •  Manage the end-to-end construction of panels up to and including customer FAT and shipping.
  •  Co-ordinate build schedules and designate resources as agreed with the Production Manager.
  •  Identify issues which have the potential to delay critical milestones and suggest improvements.
  •  Ensure production updates are completed accurately and report as required.
  •  Set daily / weekly / monthly objectives and communicate them to the team.
  •  Ensure all project hours are recorded, verify Target V’s Actual and identify discrepancies between both.
  •  Plan and organise overtime to meet planned capacity as required and authorised by Production Manager.
  •  Coordinate with planning and materials teams to ensure component availability.

Quality Assurance

  •  Measure and maintain a high-quality standard throughout the full production process.
  •  Maintain customer product quality, reporting any defects immediately to the Production and QA Manager.
  •  Identify quality risks, working with peers to implement corrective actions through CEL’s NCR process.
  •  Promote a right-first-time culture across all projects and customers.

Team Leadership

  •  Participate in the interview program for new employees.
  •  Assist in the development of new employee training plans.
  •  Assist in the creation and updating of work instructions.
  •  Ensure training of new / existing staff is ongoing and verified as competent.
  •  Monitor and mentor new employees.
  •  Ensure compliance in employees time, attendance and annual leave escalating as required.

Safety & Compliance

  •  Ensure all Health and Safety protocols, including PPE usage and safe work practices.
  •  Ensure all personnel working on or visiting the production floor adhere to CEL policies / procedures.
  •  Where repeated breaches of H&S policies occur, escalate to the Production Manager.
  •  Participate in H&S accident and incident investigations.
  •  Verify safe use of equipment and highlight any issues / defects to the Production Manager.
  •  Maintain the production environment in an audit ready state.
  •  Maintain compliance with ISO standards and company procedures.

What You’ll Need

  •  Technical Diploma or Degree in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  •  +3 years in low-voltage assembly or similar manufacturing environment.
  •  Previous supervisory or team leader experience required.
  •  Strong understanding of mechanical / electrical assembly processes.
  •  Ability to read engineering drawings and wiring diagrams.
  •  Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  •  Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with ERP systems.
  •  Results-driven with a focus on quality and efficiency.
  •  Strong organizational and planning ability.
  •  Ability to lead and develop a team in a fast-paced environment.
