Harvest Room Labor PR05 (Live Hanger) 1st Shift - Berry St Plant

• Working with low lighting.
• Must reach to a moving conveyor belt at workstation, grasping live bird weighing from two to excess of 8 pounds.
• Must lift the bird from belt to suspended moving shackle line conveyor placing both legs of the bird into shackle, line speed approximately 105 birds per minute, requiring hanging of approximately 27 birds per minute.

Requirements

Good manipulation required to reach, grasp, lift and hang birds into moving shackles, visual monitor shackles to be able to hang approx. every 4th shackle. Standing majority of shift. Use required PPE.

Environment

Work inside facility, noisy, dust, feathers, debris, low lighting in the live hang area, moving objects, mechanical and electrical hazards. Days per week and hours per day will Vary.

Pay: $17.45 hour

Applicants must be available to work overtime, and weekends as needed. These positions may involve cutting meat away from the bone using knives or scissors.

Rehire Consideration

• 180 days (6 months) waiting period.
• Max of two previous Tyson employments to be considered for hire.
