About The Role

  1. Description of the Services

The scope of services includes

  • Supporting the Procurement Function and Operational Departments (Drilling, Wells, Logistics, Marine, and Support Services).
  • Ensuring the efficient execution of:
  • Procurement activities
  • Inventory management activities
  • Procurement processes and governance
  • SAP Procurement and Materials Management administration
  • Supporting operational readiness through proactive procurement planning and execution.
  • Promoting procurement best practices, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  1. Specific Activities

A. Procurement Support to Operations

The Contractor Personnel shall

  • Prepare and process Call-Off Orders under existing contracts.
  • Assist technical entities in defining procurement strategies for low-risk and low-value requirements.
  • Prepare and manage procurement files under simplified and fast-track procurement processes.
  • Draft and administer Purchase Orders (POs) and low-complexity contracts.
  • Ensure timely execution of sourcing activities to meet operational schedules.
  • Support bid clarification activities and commercial evaluations when required.
  • Monitor contractual commitments and ensure proper contract administration.
  • Interface with suppliers and contractors to expedite deliveries and service execution.
  • Support operational readiness by ensuring procurement activities are anticipated and executed within required timelines.

B. Stock and Inventory Management

The Contractor Personnel shall

  • Monitor inventory levels and availability of critical spare parts.
  • Coordinate replenishment activities with end users and logistics teams.
  • Analyze stock consumption trends and recommend optimization initiatives.
  • Monitor:
  • Slow-moving inventory
  • Surplus inventory
  • Obsolete inventory
  • Ensure inventory records remain accurate and aligned with SAP data.
  • Participate in materials planning exercises and warehouse performance reviews.
  • Support working capital optimization initiatives through efficient inventory management.

C. Procurement Methods and Continuous Improvement

The Contractor Personnel shall

  • Act as focal point for procurement procedures, methodologies, and templates.
  • Promote compliance with Company procurement governance and Delegation of Authority (DOA) requirements.
  • Support the implementation of procurement best practices.
  • Maintain procurement documentation, templates, and standard workflows.
  • Monitor procurement KPIs and prepare regular performance reports.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and contribute to digitalization initiatives.
  • Provide guidance and support to operational users regarding procurement processes and requirements.

D. SAP Procurement & Materials Management Referent

The Contractor Personnel shall

  • Serve as the Affiliate focal point for SAP Procurement and Materials Management activities.
  • Support users on procurement transactions and SAP-related issues.
  • Ensure proper application of purchasing and inventory processes within SAP.
  • Coordinate master data quality management activities.
  • Support SAP upgrades, testing campaigns, and deployment of new functionalities.
  • Deliver user training and awareness sessions.
  • Monitor data quality and system compliance.
  • Liaise with Corporate SAP support teams, key users, and stakeholders.

E. Compliance, Risk & Internal Control

The Contractor Personnel shall

  • Ensure procurement activities comply with:
  • Company procedures
  • Corporate governance requirements
  • Ethics and anti-corruption policies
  • Maintain complete procurement documentation and audit trails.
  • Support internal and external audits.
  • Monitor procurement compliance indicators.
  • Identify procurement and operational risks and propose mitigation measures.
  • Ensure contractual and procurement files are properly archived and readily auditable.

Key Objectives

  • Ensure efficient execution of procurement activities supporting operational requirements.
  • Maintain inventory integrity and optimize stock levels.
  • Promote procurement governance, compliance, and continuous improvement.
  • Act as the SAP focal point for procurement and materials management processes.
  • Ensure proper contract administration and procurement documentation.
  • Contribute to operational readiness and business continuity through proactive procurement support.
  • Support optimization of procurement performance through KPI monitoring and digitalization initiatives.

 

  • Essential Skills / Technologies:  Ref. to JD + Strong SAP MM + Understanding of drilling and well operations
  • Experience Level:  Between 5 to 10 years of XP 
  • Additional Notes : French + Dutch are a plus
  • Starting date: 08.2026
  • Mission duration:  12 months / renewable
  • Work location: Paramaribo, Suriname
