About The Role
Role Overview
The IT Support Administrator supports the day-to-day IT operations of Safetrust's Vietnam office and production environments. This entry-level role provides an excellent opportunity for recent graduates and early-career professionals to gain hands-on experience supporting enterprise systems, networking, endpoint devices, and access technologies.
The role has a strong focus on Cisco networking fundamentals, endpoint support, and IT operations. The ideal candidate is technically curious, dependable, customer-focused, and eager to grow into a broader systems, networking, or cybersecurity career. Structured training and mentorship will be provided by the IT Operations team to support successful development in the role.
Key Responsibilities
End User Support
- ● Provide first-line support for hardware, software, accounts, printers, and peripherals.
- ● Configure and deploy laptops, desktops, and related devices.
- ● Support meeting room technology and day-to-day office IT needs.
- ● Troubleshoot and resolve user issues or escalate when appropriate.
Network & Infrastructure Support
- ● Assist with monitoring and troubleshooting Cisco switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless infrastructure.
- ● Support VLANs, IP addressing, and structured cabling.
- ● Participate in network maintenance and equipment deployment activities.
User Access and Identity Management
- ● Support onboarding and offboarding activities.
- ● Provision and de-provision user accounts.
- ● Assist with Google Workspace administration.
- ● Follow access control and least-privilege standards.
Asset and Endpoint Management
- ● Maintain IT asset inventories and configuration records.
- ● Prepare and recover devices.
- ● Support mobile devices and endpoint management activities.
- ● Maintain CMDB and equipment documentation.
Security & Compliance
- ● Follow IT security and data protection policies.
- ● Recognize and report suspicious activity and phishing attempts.
- ● Escalate incidents appropriately.
- ● Support adherence to established IT procedures and standards.
Documentation and Process Improvement
- ● Record incidents and requests within ticketing systems.
- ● Maintain technical documentation and SOPs.
- ● Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
- ● Assist with project activities as assigned.
Vendor and Global Team Collaboration
- ● Coordinate with vendors and service providers under guidance from the IT team.
- ● Communicate effectively with colleagues in Vietnam, Australia, and the United States.
- ● Occasionally provide support outside normal business hours to support global
- operations.
Qualifications
Required
- ● Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Networking, or a related field.
- ● Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
● Understanding of networking fundamentals including
- ○ TCP/IP
- ○ Routing and switching
- ○ VLANs
- ○ DNS and DHCP
- ○ Basic firewall concepts
- ● Basic knowledge of computer hardware, peripherals, and structured cabling.
- ● Ability to troubleshoot technical issues methodically.
- ● Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- ● Strong customer-service orientation.
- ● Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- ● Ability to prioritize tasks and work collaboratively in a team environment.
- ● Commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.
Preferred
- ● Cisco CCNA certification or currently pursuing certification.
- ● CompTIA A+, Network+, or equivalent certifications.
- ● Familiarity with Google Workspace administration.
- ● Exposure to Windows and macOS environments.
- ● Experience with Jira Service Management or other ticketing platforms.
- ● Knowledge of endpoint management tools such as Intune, Jamf, or MDM platforms.
- ● Basic scripting experience using PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
- ● Understanding of Wi-Fi networking and VPN technologies.
- ● Familiarity with physical access control systems is an advantage.
Physical Requirements
- ● Ability to lift and move IT equipment weighing up to 20 kilograms.
- ● Ability to work at desks, network racks, and production areas.
- ● Ability to travel between Safetrust office and production locations when required.
