Data Science Manager

Education · Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information technology or related fiel or Master’s degree (MBA or equivalent) in Project Management, Data Analytics, or Business Administration. Experience · 8-10 years of total experience in Data Science Management · Minimum 3-5 years of experience in managing data science, data analytics, and data engineering projects. · Proven track record of end-to-end project delivery, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closure. · Hands-on experience managing cross-functional teams, vendor coordination, and multi-stakeholder environments. · Exposure to Agile/Waterfall methodologies. · Experience in budgeting, resource planning, and performance monitoring. · In-depth knowledge of the banking and financial services sector. Industry Preferably from a Technology, ITES, Products, Professional SI organization with a focus on BFSI. Responsibilities · Manage and deliver data science and analytics projects aligned with business goals. · Define projects scope, objectives, milestones, and success criteria in collaboration with stakeholders. · Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and budgets. · Facilitate Agile ceremonies or conduct structured phase reviews (based on methodology used). · Monitor and manage project risks, dependencies, and resource constraints. · Ensure effective communication and coordination between business, analytics, and IT teams. · Provide timely project updates, reports, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders. · Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to building PM best practices within the team. Certifications PMP (Project Management Professional) CSM(Certified Scrum Master) or PMI-ACP ( Agile Certified Practitioner) Location Mumbai / Navi Mumbai
