Position Overview The Sr. Executive – US Canada Accounts will be responsible for managing a portfolio of client files, performing advanced bookkeeping and review functions, and supporting the delivery of accurate and timely financial reporting. You will play a key role in enhancing the quality of technical files, improving workflow efficiency, and supporting junior bookkeeping staff through collaboration and knowledge sharing. This position focuses on senior technical bookkeeping execution and review within a collaborative team environment and offers an excellent opportunity for continued professional growth. Essential Duties and Responsibilities · · Client File Management & Technical Preparation • Manage day-to-day bookkeeping for a portfolio of client files using QuickBooks Online (QBO) and supporting applications (Dext, Plooto, etc.) • Prepare month-end bookkeeping files, reconciliations, and supporting schedules for secondary review • Prepare GST/HST filings and related working papers for assigned clients for secondary review • Complete year-end bookkeeping preparation and file readiness for transition to the Accounting Team • Identify discrepancies, unusual transactions, and file issues proactively • Ensure work is completed accurately, on time, and within budgeted hours · Technical Review & Workflow Support • Conduct technical review of routine bookkeeping files to support quality control and earlier issue identification • Support workflow continuity and file readiness across bookkeeping engagements • Assist with troubleshooting bookkeeping issues and resolving technical questions • Collaborate with the Accounting Team on complex bookkeeping matters and year-end transitions • Assist with maintaining consistent bookkeeping standards and processes across client files · Team Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing • Act as a technical resource for Bookkeepers by answering questions and providing technical guidance • Support onboarding and training of new bookkeeping staff on firm workflows and cloud-based software tools • Share technical knowledge and best practices within the bookkeeping team Key Success Measures · · Client – Client Satisfaction, Associate Retention and Attraction · Financial – Reduced cost-to-serve/optimization, Profitability improvement · Operational – Defined Structure, Improved Employee Value Proposition · People – Higher associate engagement, lower attrition Education, Skills & Experience · 3+ years of full-cycle bookkeeping experience, preferably in a public accounting or client-service environment · Strong knowledge of QuickBooks Online (QBO), Dext, Xennet (or similar review tool); experience with Karbon is considered an asset · Strong understanding of GST/HST filings, reconciliations, and month-end close procedures · Experience reviewing bookkeeping files and identifying discrepancies or technical issues · Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills · Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and efficiency · Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines in a remote work environment · Collaborative mindset with strong technical and client-service orientation • Shift timings 15:00 PM IST - 00:30 AM IST (Indian Summers) 16:00 PMIST – 01:30 AM IST (Indian Winters)
