About The Role

Job Profile : At PwC, our people in corporate affairs and communications are responsible for managing and coordinating the organisation's internal and external communications, public relations, and corporate reputation. They focus on developing and implementing strategies to effectively communicate the organisation's mission, values, and initiatives to various stakeholders including employees, customers, investors, media, and the general public. In public relations at PwC, you will focus on managing and enhancing the Firm's reputation through strategic communication and media relations. You will build strong relationships with stakeholders and promote the Firm's brand and values. Responsibilities : Strategic Media & Reputation Management · Lead the development and execution of a proactive, narrative-driven media strategy aligned with PwC India’s brand priorities and business agenda. · Drive a shift from transactional, announcement-led PR to thematic storytelling that builds long-term brand equity. · Develop and execute a digital-first PR strategy that complements traditional media efforts and expands PwC’s presence across online platforms. · Own PwC India’s reputation management in the media, ensuring consistency, credibility, and responsiveness. · Define and track success metrics beyond volume—focusing on quality of coverage, share of voice, narrative penetration, and influence among key audiences. --- Campaigns & Thought Leadership Amplification · Translate PwC’s strategic priorities (AI, trust, policy, economic growth) into compelling media narratives. · Work closely with leadership to craft opinion pieces, interviews, and commentary that shape public discourse. · Ensure PwC is seen not just as a services firm, but as a voice of authority on India’s most critical issues. · Partner with marketing teams to amplify brand campaigns (e.g., ‘So You Can’, ‘Value in Motion’, AI Edge) through earned media. · Work closely with business stakeholders to proactively identify themes, insights, and client stories that can be taken to media—and equally bring back media trends, opportunities, and narratives to shape internal priorities and positioning. Media Relations & Network Building · Build and nurture strong relationships with top-tier business, policy, and mainstream media across print, digital, and broadcast. · Identify and cultivate new-age media platforms, influential journalists, and emerging voices. · Drive consistent, high-quality coverage that enhances PwC’s visibility among CEOs, policymakers, and stakeholders. --- Leadership Positioning & Visibility · Design and execute media engagement plans for senior leadership, including the Chairperson and key partners. · Secure high-impact opportunities such as interviews, editorial features, TV appearances, and panel participation. · Ensure leaders are positioned as credible, forward-thinking voices on relevant themes. · Enable and institutionalise media readiness by designing and conducting structured media training sessions for partners and senior leaders—building their confidence, clarity of messaging, and ability to engage effectively with media. --- Issues & Crisis Communications · Support the development of crisis communication frameworks and manage sensitive issues in coordination with leadership. · Provide real-time counsel on media risks, narratives, and responses. · Ensure preparedness and consistency in handling high-stakes situations. Mandatory skill sets: · Strong understanding of India’s media landscape, including business, policy, and digital ecosystems. · Proven track record of building leadership visibility and delivering high-impact media outcomes. · Experience in handling complex, reputation-sensitive environments is strongly preferred. Preferred skill sets : · Ability to operate in a fast-paced, matrixed organization and influence senior stakeholders. · Excellent writing, storytelling, and interpersonal skills. Years of experience required : 14–17 years of experience in media relations, public relations, or strategic communications (agency or corporate). Education qualification : Bachelor’s degree in communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or related field; Master’s preferred.
