Job Description & Summary: PwC India is looking for a highly skilled SAP BODS (BusinessObjects Data Services) Technical Consultant with mandatory hands-on experience in designing, developing, and supporting data integration and ETL solutions. This is a purely technical role focused on building and optimizing robust data pipelines to support enterprise data warehousing and analytics requirements. Job Position Title: IN_Senior Associate_SAP BODS_D&A_Advisory_PAN India Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient ETL workflows and jobs using SAP BODS to extract, transform, and load data from various sources to target data warehouses. Develop complex data integration solutions, including batch and real-time data pipelines, incorporating data cleansing, validation, and error handling mechanisms. Customize and optimize SAP BODS jobs for performance improvements, including data flow optimization and parallel processing. Collaborate with data architects, business analysts, and functional consultants to gather and translate business requirements into technical ETL solutions. Integrate SAP BODS with SAP and non-SAP systems using adapters, RFC, web services, APIs, and relational databases. Conduct thorough unit testing, performance tuning, and debugging of ETL jobs to ensure data quality, reliability, and consistency. Monitor and troubleshoot production ETL workflows and resolve data loading issues promptly to minimize downtime. Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including design documents, job specifications, and operational guides. Participate in data governance initiatives by implementing data quality rules and monitoring data lineage through SAP BODS. Mandatory skill sets: Strong hands-on experience in SAP BusinessObjects Data Services (BODS) designing and developing ETL/ELT jobs. Expertise in data profiling, data transformation, data cleansing, and data migration using BODS. Proficiency in working with various source and target systems like SQL Server, Oracle, SAP ECC, SAP BW, and cloud databases. Sound knowledge of SAP Data Services Designer and Administrator tools and repository management. Experience with bulk data processing, real-time data integration, and capturing change data using SAP BODS. Understanding of SAP integration protocols including RFC, IDoc, BAPI, and web services is a plus. Knowledge of SQL scripting, query optimization, and relational databases (RDBMS). Preferred skill sets: Exposure to SAP BW, SAP HANA, or SAP S/4HANA data integration scenarios. Familiarity with SAP Data Intelligence or other SAP data management tools. Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and integration with SAP BODS is an advantage. Experience in Agile development methodologies and usage of version control systems.
