About The Role
Job Description & Summary: PwC India is seeking a proficient Data Engineer with hands-on experience in Snowflake, Cloud Platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP), and Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS) to design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and cloud-based data solutions. This role involves working within complex data ecosystems to enable data warehousing, analytics, and enterprise data management, ultimately driving data-driven decision-making and business efficiency. Job Position Title: IN_Senior Associate_Data Engineer_D&A_Advisory_PAN India Responsibilities: Design, develop, and optimize scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows using Snowflake and IICS across cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, and GCP. Architect and implement cloud data warehousing solutions, ensuring best practices in data modeling, performance optimization, and security. Collaborate with data architects, data scientists, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into robust data engineering solutions. Develop and maintain automated data ingestion, transformation, and integration processes from diverse data sources into Snowflake and cloud data lakes. Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline performance, ensuring data quality, reliability, and consistency. Implement cloud native data management solutions leveraging Azure Data Factory, AWS Glue, Google Cloud Dataflow, or equivalent services in conjunction with IICS. Establish data governance, metadata management, and data lineage using available cloud and ETL tools. Document data flow processes, pipeline architectures, and technical designs to facilitate knowledge sharing and compliance. Stay updated with emerging cloud data technologies and recommend improvements to existing data engineering processes. Mandatory skill sets: Hands-on experience with Snowflake for data warehousing, including performance tuning, clustering, and security. Strong proficiency in one or more cloud platforms: Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), or Google Cloud Platform (GCP), specifically related to data engineering services. Expertise in Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS) or similar cloud-based ETL tools for data integration workflows. Solid understanding of data modeling concepts, data pipeline architecture, and ETL/ELT best practices. Proficient in SQL and scripting languages like Python, Shell, or similar for automation and orchestration of data workflows. Experience with cloud-native orchestration and monitoring frameworks. Familiarity with data governance, security, and compliance standards in cloud environments. Preferred skill sets: Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes) for deploying data engineering solutions. Knowledge of Big Data ecosystem tools (Apache Spark, Kafka) and cloud-native data lake architectures. Exposure to Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or ARM templates for cloud resource provisioning. Working knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines in data engineering context. Prior experience in industry domains such as finance, healthcare, or retail for contextual data solutions.
