About The Role

Job Description & Summary: PwC India is looking for an experienced Data Governance Consultant with strong hands-on expertise in implementing enterprise Data Governance frameworks and managing Collibra platform solutions. The consultant will be responsible for designing, implementing, and enhancing Data Governance Operating Models, policies, standards, and workflows aligned with industry best practices (DCAM, DAMA). This role involves close collaboration with business and IT stakeholders to enable effective data quality, metadata management, and master data governance using Collibra and other enterprise systems. Job Position Title: IN_Manager_Data Governance_Collibra_D&A_Advisory_PAN India Responsibilities: Design and implement enterprise Data Governance frameworks, operating models, policies, standards, and processes aligned with industry best practices (DCAM, DAMA). Define Data Governance operating models including council structures, RACI matrices, and roles for Data Owners, Data Stewards, and Data Custodians. Conduct Data Governance maturity assessments and develop client-specific implementation roadmaps. Support business functions in identifying and documenting Critical Data Elements (CDEs), Business Data Quality rules, Business Glossary, hierarchies for master/reference data, and Data Dictionary. Collaborate with Data Owners and Data Stewards to define and monitor Data Quality rules for CDEs across applications such as Workday, Databricks, and other enterprise systems. Design and document business requirements (BRDs) for workflows within Collibra, including Data Quality, Business Glossary, Reference Data, Issue Management, Report Catalog, and oversee end-to-end workflow development. Lead workshops and discussions with CXOs, CDOs, and senior business leaders on Data Governance vision, strategy, and initiatives. Manage and mentor direct reports and project teams providing coaching and career development support. Lead or support the PwC Data Governance Center of Excellence (CoE) in thought leadership, asset creation, accelerators, and team capability building. Contribute to business development efforts including responding to RFPs/RFIs, proposal writing, client demos, and solution presentations. Mandatory Skill Sets: 7–10 years overall experience with a minimum of 5 years in the Data Governance domain and consulting experience strongly preferred. Hands-on experience implementing and configuring Collibra Data Governance and Data Catalog solutions. Expertise in designing and implementing Data Governance operating models, policies, and processes within large enterprises. Proven experience preparing detailed BRDs and driving development for Data Governance areas like Metadata Management, Business Glossary, Data Lineage, Data Quality, and Master Data Management. Strong ability to lead C-suite discussions (CXO/CDO) on Data Governance strategy, business cases, and ROI. Experience leading and mentoring delivery teams in consulting or large enterprise environments. Excellent written and verbal communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills. Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as per project/client needs. Preferred Skill Sets: Experience working with data catalog and metadata management tools such as Microsoft Purview, Informatica Enterprise Data Catalog, and Alation is a plus. Familiarity with ETL and data integration tools like Informatica PowerCenter, Talend, or Azure Data Factory in support of Data Governance initiatives.
