Job Description & Summary: We are looking for an experienced Power BI & Snowflake Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining interactive dashboards and reports powered by a robust Snowflake data platform, providing actionable insights to business stakeholders while ensuring data accuracy, optimized performance, and effective visualization. Job Position Title: IN_Senior Associate_Snowflake and PowerBI developer _Data and Analytics_Advisory_Kolkata (India) Responsibilities: Develop, design, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports based on business requirements. Connect and integrate various data sources — including Snowflake — to create comprehensive and dynamic visualizations. Build and manage Snowflake objects including warehouses, stages, streams, tasks, and stored procedures to support reporting pipelines. Implement and manage data loading processes using COPY INTO, Snowpipe, and external/internal stages. Leverage Snowflake features such as Time Travel, Zero Copy Cloning, and Change Data Capture (Streams & Tasks) to support data accuracy and auditability. Write advanced SQL including MERGE statements, Lateral Flatten for semi-structured data (VARIANT/JSON), UDFs, and Stored Procedures. Optimize Snowflake query performance using clustering keys, caching strategies, and query profiling. Implement and maintain security best practices including RBAC, Dynamic Data Masking, and Row Access Policies. Collaborate with data engineering teams on data modeling, dbt transformations, and report performance optimization. Mandatory skill sets: Strong hands-on experience in Power BI development and visualization. Solid working knowledge of Snowflake Architecture (Warehouses, Storage Layer, Cloud Services Layer). Proficient in advanced SQL — MERGE, Lateral Flatten, VARIANT handling, UDFs, and Stored Procedures. Experience with Snowflake data loading mechanisms (COPY INTO, Snowpipe, Stages). Understanding of Streams & Tasks for CDC, Time Travel, and Zero Copy Cloning. Knowledge of Snowflake performance tuning — clustering keys, result/metadata caching, and query profiling. Familiarity with Snowflake security — RBAC, Dynamic Data Masking, and Row Access Policies. Solid understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and database concepts. Ability to translate complex data into simple and effective visual representations. Strong attention to detail ensuring accuracy and high quality of reporting outputs. Good communication skills to collaborate with data teams and stakeholders. Preferred skill sets: Experience with dbt (data build tool) for transformation and modeling within Snowflake. Experience working with cloud platforms like Azure or AWS. Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and modern data stack tools. Exposure to Agile development methodologies.
