Laboratory Sanitation Technician

Purpose (Objective): This position is responsible for providing basic assistance to the operations of the laboratory washing containers used in the process of testing. Main activities: ● Wash containers used in analysis. ● Maintain a safe clean work area around the sink. ● Maintain clean laboratory by discarding waste and cleaning and sanitizing countertops, walls, floors, shelves, equipment, sinks, water baths etc. using cleaning solvents. ● Maintain a clean laboratory by properly storing chemicals, reagents and supplies. Maintain adequate stock of these materials. ● Organize laboratory glassware and plastics. ● Decontaminate laboratory materials through the use of the autoclave. ● Support corporate quality and continuous improvement process. ● This position has the responsibility and authority to identify departures from the quality system or test procedures and document such observations in accordance with the prescribed complaint system ● Perform other related duties as needed. Communication: The incumbent has occasional contact with personnel outside the immediate work group.
