About The Role
JOB PURPOSE The programmers are responsible for direct support of AMOS (Advanced Operating System) including internal functionality and interfaces with any external systems. Support includes development of user applications, bug fixes, and modification/enhancements to existing functions, testing, system documentation, and ad-hoc data gathering/queries . Programmers support MPA Corporate users, MPA Parts Distribution Centers, MRC, and other Subsidiaries using U . S AMOS. Support may require coordination with the systems team at HQ. Support hours may extend beyond normal business hours at MPA Corporate offices to support users in different time zones and countries or coordinate with staff in Korea. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES 1 st Develop design specification based on business user requirements 20% 2 nd Program development 30% 3 rd Troubleshoot system problems 20% 4 th Testing of new/modified programs 15% 5 th Ad Hoc data gathering/queries 15% KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS Under limited supervision perform the functions of a Team Leader on small projects. Gather user requirements Develop design specifications Program devel Create test plans, test cases and perform unit, integration and parallel testing of all processes. Pretesting and bug fix prior to release for UAT Coordinate testing with clients and verify accuracy of test results Perform quality control of programs and system changes prior to implementation Implement project installations to production Monitor daily operations, programs, batch processing and system processing Diagnoses and troubleshoot daily operations, programs and system problems Operation program logic research and documentation Provide support to operational staff for error resolution WORK SCHEDULE This is a full-time, on-site position in Fountain Valley, CA. 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Minimal overnight travel (up to 10%) by land and/or air.
