SDET II

SDET II (Software Development Engineer in Test) We are seeking an experienced SDET II with strong expertise in Java , REST Assured , and API Automation Testing . The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing scalable automation frameworks, developing reliable automated test suites, validating microservices, and integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines to enable high-quality software releases. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Java. Develop and execute API automation test scripts using REST Assured. Validate REST APIs, request/response payloads, authentication mechanisms, and business workflows. Create reusable automation libraries and utilities to improve framework efficiency. Develop automated regression, integration, smoke, and end-to-end API test suites. Collaborate with developers, product managers, and DevOps teams to ensure product quality throughout the SDLC. Analyze application logs, troubleshoot failures, and perform root cause analysis. Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or similar tools. Maintain automation reports and improve overall automation coverage. Participate in code reviews and contribute to automation framework enhancements. Ensure quality standards and automation best practices across projects. Technical Skills Strong programming experience in Java . Hands-on experience with REST Assured for API automation. Strong understanding of REST APIs and HTTP methods. Experience with TestNG or JUnit . Experience with Maven or Gradle. Strong knowledge of JSON, XML, and API authentication mechanisms (OAuth, JWT, Bearer Token). Experience using Postman and Swagger/Open API. Good understanding of SQL for database validation. Experience with Git for version control. Hands-on experience with Jenkins or other CI/CD tools. Experience working with Jira or similar defect/project management tools. Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and automation best practices.
