Student - Worship Consultant

Description This position assists the Worship Pastor in all aspects of preparing for chapel and other College Ministries related worship events on campus. $8.00/hour

Primary Duties 1. Develop and coordinate campus worship services with the Minister of Worship. 2. Communicating with College Ministries pastoral, administrative and work-study staff as it relates to liturgical and logistical needs for chapel events. 3. Liaise with Campus Events & Conference Services staff for equipment set-up rehearsal space reservations, etc. 4. Respond to requests from the Worship Pastor as they relate to communication and the overall development of the Worship Community. 5. Copy music and create packets for musical rehearsals, and maintain organized music files. 6. Maintain consistent and reliable attendance. Secondary Duties 1. Assist the Worship Pastor in educator/class preparation, including procuring items from the Murray Library, proctoring class sessions when necessary and copying class session activity notes. 2. Other duties as assigned.

Education Required Education Preferred Experience Required Understands the purposes of worship in an educational setting. Musical skill, in particular as it relates to music utilized in services of worship. Experience Preferred Worship-leading Skills, Characteristics Required Skilled communicator (oral and written)Organizational skill, coordination and facility in multi-task environments is essential.
